MTR- is the subway and tarin system that reachs most part of the Hong Kong Area. This is the most popular way of transportation due to not many people use cars. This way of getting around is very cheap also. Try to aviod rush hours going to "Central" or you will get the true feeling of crowded China.

Bus-  Hong Kong is one of the cities with the famour couble decker buses. These buses travel all around the city, and have air conditioning, but no heat. Be careful during winter seasons due to the air conditioning in the bus is still on.

"Buses route numbering system - many of those with 3 digits go through one of the cross harbor tunnels. For example, the 100s go through the tunnel between Wanchai and Hung Hom, the 600s go through the Eastern Cross Harbor Tunnel (Quarry Bay - Lam Tin), the 900s go through the Western Cross Harbor Tunnel (Sai Ying Pun - Yau Ma Tei)."

Ferry- Ferry Stations are located all around Hong Kong to provide service of crossing the rivers. The stations are most located in "Central". No reservations are needed to ride.

Taxi-mainly there are 3 kinds: red, green, and blue.

The blue ones can only operate on the Lantau Island (where the airport is located).

The green ones can only operate in the New Territories. The red ones can go anywhere except for outlying islands not connected with a bridge. All three kinds can go to and from the airport.

Rickshaw- Our customers love the rickshaw rides. They are a short five minute ride in an authentic rickshaw around the city. This is definatley a must do, and is something you will remeber. These operators can be found at Star Ferry in Central on Hong Kong.

Walking- Of course the most healthy beneficial way of transportation is walking. You will see all the amazing sights Hong Kong has to offer, try to make a point to go on a romatic walk around such a beautiful city.
